Russia is seeking to exploit America’s divisive debate over Israel’s offensive in Gaza through overt and covert propaganda, with the aim of aggravating political tensions in the U.S. and tarnishing Washington’s global image, according to two sources familiar with U.S. intelligence on the matter.

In its ongoing information war against the United States, Russia has shifted its focus in recent months to the Israel-Hamas conflict, seeking to inflame existing divisions in the West and to portray Washington as fueling the violence, the sources said.

The effort includes artificial intelligence, fake social media accounts, a long-standing tactic used by Moscow, as well as a spike in propaganda from Russian state media. The sources declined to share examples of Russian-generated bots on social media to avoid revealing U.S. intelligence-gathering methods.

The campaign is the latest example of Russia’s bid to seize on existing political rifts in America and other NATO countries, according to the sources and independent researchers.

But Palestinians also have a well organized propaganda machine that reaches out to people from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds to claim solidarity with them.

It is a plan to divide and conquer the liberals in order to prevent Biden from being re-elected.

Make no mistake. Russian and Chinese support for these protests is aimed at hurting Biden specifically and Democrats in general.

I think your position largely glosses over that. With this effort, it's a win-win for Putin and Xi. If Biden stays the course, some portion of young voters are alienated, especially if University officials either overreact to protests, or are forced to act by provocateurs (as at Columbia). And if Biden is seens to be bend to the protestor demands, Trump and the Media will jump all over that, hurting him with independents. Putin and Xi can;t lose, so long as they can keep these protests going. So they egg them on at every opportunity.

Nut hey, at least the protest supports feel morally superior.

I just hope as few kids as possible are injured or ruin their future prospects following the bait that is being laid out for them.
