Why on earth did she do that? or why on earth did ANYONE think there would be anything positive from it all? No matter what she said, they would have scurried out of the meeting to trash what she said.

McCain is all but irrelevant now, and he knows it, so WHY give that weasely little scumbag ANY opportunity to blather on.?

He and his little pal, Lindsay, have glombed onto their new "gal-pal" protege, Kelly for some "cover", but their game is the same as it's ever been.. Discredit Obama at ANY opportunity...and discredit anyone he presents as the public face of the administration..

not after being "summonsed" by them to a private woodshed moment, where the THREE of them run to a camera afterward to remark on all HER "mistakes".

5. That does not help Obama or Rice

You may be titillated by public political fights, but it does not serve the interests of this administration or the nation. Potential nominees generally meet with senators before they are officially nominated. If confirmed, she will have to continue to work with these senators throughout her tenure as Sec. Of State. If she can limit some of their hyperbole, the country will be much better for it.

NOTHING POSITIVE COULD EVER COME FROM THIS! The three stooges want a scandal and no facts are going to get in their way. What a stupid and pathetic move by Obama and Rice to agree to this. This matter was fading away and Rice just opened the door for more attention. WTF?

4. I personally would have brought copies of their secret personnel files

including but not limited to their personal associations and offered to make the facts public. In fact, if I DON'T call within three minutes, the info would be released into the WWW. So now let's work this out, OK guys?
