"SNIP.............
Donald Trumps inner circle doesnt expect the Supreme Court to go along with his extreme arguments about executive power in the immunity case before the justices. But what the high court does now is almost beside the point: Trump already won, Rolling Stone reports.
Bringing the case before the court after a federal appeals court in Washington, D.C., shut down their arguments on executive power was a delaying tactic designed to push Trumps criminal election subversion trial past Election Day this fall. The strategy paid off so much more than MAGAworld anticipated.
Said one source close to Trump: We already pulled off the heist.

(1,251 posts)The first five are in direct conflict with the 1st Amendment. The one about adultery is a guide and rarely, if ever, enforced in advanced societies. The one about coveting would destroy capitalism if it were enforced.
That leaves three rules that are bare minimum standards that all societies have. 70% stupid is no moral guide for anyone with a brain. Or with real morals.
Far better to follow a code that conforms with actual morality and reality:
One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.
II
The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
III
Ones body is inviolable, subject to ones own will alone.
IV
The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own.
V
Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs.
VI
People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
VII
Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.

Not a surprise, though, that the Satanists have a better handle on morality.
