Maybe we ought to be backing the Tea Party alternative to the repubicans.

Hear me out. I am NOT advocating third party. What I am doing is kinda what McCaskill did in Missouri. Back in the primary the easiest opponent to beat in the general. In SC, there must be some batshit crazy teabagger we can beat. Even if we don't beat them, Gomer is gone and we're still better off than we are now because a senior Senator is gone.

Surely there are others in the House and the Senate where this might work. Again, the worst that happens is a crazy repubican gets replaced by a crazier one, but one with less seniority.

1. I want to think about the positive things we can do right now

I want to give people a good reason to vote for our candidates in 2014. The "conservatives" have made their own mess. They can wallow in it without me.

I'd rather see them clean it up but I don't have any confidence in them.
