I subscribed to that and The Nation, Hightower Report as I remember.

2. Geesh anyone with half a brain knows/knew the National Enquirer was a phony newspaper.

Sure, they may have had a few articles inside that had some factual information. But the "big" news headlines on the front page were mostly made-up sensationalized stories built on little or no facts. It was and is a rag.

3. When I was a senior in high school

We had to turn in a weekly Current Events report in Gov’t class. No less than five articles clipped from the paper with a written summary to show you had actually read it. I’d always slip in one from the National Enquirer to keep Mr. B on his toes.
