My kingdom for my own media operation...
Donald Trump knew the value of information, whether it was true or not, whether it was "fake" or not. That was why he befriended David Pecker. He was of value to him. He could print all positive stories about Trump and all negative stories about his political opponents, which he did with enthusiasm. And Trump paid him for his efforts.
How is that different from Trump's present relationship with FOX News? They do nothing but positive stories on Trump. They agree to do nothing but negative stories on Joe Biden and his political enemies. But how are they paid?
They know that their ratings will remain high so long as they report positively on Trump. His followers will watch their network over all the others. Ratings equal money. That is how they are paid.
In my opinion, Trump only swapped National Enquirer for FOX News because they served the same purpose for him. FOX News is very similar to National Enquirer.

You don't just stop at one or two media outlets.
