Now, I'm just an old country boy...

But it seems to me it was only 12 years ago that we had a balanced budget and we had this country in pretty good shape. Somewhere in that short span of time, we wuz robbed.

Those that robbed us got away with murder, literally, in their war games and banking schemes. Then when the feces hit the propellers, they came back to our government officials crying that we need to cut Medicare and Social Security and all types of social programs, instead of raising taxes on those that did the thievery and stuffed their pockets to overflowing. They want sacrifice from everyone at the bottom and they want to keep everything they took in the process. By God, they stole their fortunes fair and square. They bought politicians from both sides to get what they got.

It didn't take them very long to run our ship of state aground. Now, it may be true that there is enough blame to go around but, it seems to me, that the greasy snakes called Republicans did more than their share of the damage. And now they whine about bi-partisanship and shared sacrifice. It's enough to make a maggot vomit. They should be thankful that we are not living in the days of guillotines and execution.

The art of misdirection practiced today would put us all at risk, especially liberal thinkers in red places.

I don't believe for one second that they won't. Their coffers have been replenished and now we are left to argue about how much widows and orphans should sacrifice for the privilege. Our great disgrace is that this outrageous behavior isn't criminal. I don't get it. I really don't.
