Help me out. If TFG is found guilty in the Hush money case

What will he be facing as far a a prison term? Also, when would his sentencing hearing be? When would he actually go to prison, IF found guilty? ( i'll be ready for the ones that say never)

My guess would be that he would appeal any guilty verdict, so no immediate prison time. alwaysinasnit Apr 11 #1

... then a higher court after that, then the USSC.

Because he is the Tangerine Emperor of Shitty & Stinky Diapers the courts would stay his conviction until all appeals have been ruled upon, most likely.

Doesn't matter what the max is... WHAT are similar prosecutions resulting in?

But in my perfect world, the convicted asshole will have travel restrictions placed on him to NOT leave the state of New York while the appeal process grinds on for years.

anything from probation to 4 years imprisonment.

That seems to be the general consensus based on everything I'm reading.

Cohen's sentence was reduced for good behavior. Trump masterminded the crime, so he should get more time. And Trump likely won't have his sentence reduced since he never behaves well.

Prison would be more appropriate in the documents case, the Georgia case, and the J6 insurrection trial. Even then, I would suspect he would get home confinement.

JMHO.

He certainly *should* get several years in prison at a minimum, but if it gets to that point, he'll produce doctors who will swear that he's in such bad health he wouldn't survive a day behind bars. So he'll spend the rest of his years cheating at golf at mar-a-lago.

No jail or prison time. Maybe some probation and a fine but as others have said, the moron will appeal which will probably take years.

Personally, as much as I'd like the bloated prick to spend lots of time in jail, I don't want to spend another dime on a bunch of secret service protection.

isolated anyway, so I doubt the Secret Service would have to increase their protection.

He had to surrender in Georgia. He was inconvenienced for awhile, but then he coughed up a bail bond ($200,000) and, with restrictions that he didn't pay attention to, off he went on the campaign trail.

But, this trial is different. He's not out on bail. If he gets convicted, he's gonna be taken into custody. Maybe not handcuffed, but taken away. From there, there has to be some kind of bond hearing. Does he have the money? Someone will go his bail. And, off he goes until the sentencing.

He'll show up at sentencing (or he won't.) And, he's not getting sentenced to MAL in Florida, despite the tRump argument that they will present. Maybe, they'll try for one of his other nearby properties. But, I imagine that if one of those properties are encumbered as part of the fraud appeal, or the EJ Carroll case, it can't be used. Just guessing.

So, I think, that if he makes bail, he will of course be released, but then he'll be sentenced to jail. I think he's taken house arrest off the table by his shenanigans with his property.

The Judge that he threatened is the one who decides the sentence. He'll follow whatever guidelines he must, but I don't think "house arrest" needs to be on there. We all know that tRump will appeal anything that he gets, but that doesn't mean he'll be out pending appeal.

Some of these bastards are, like Bannon, but those were minor convictions, involving minor stints in jail. tRump could get years in jail. Is he gonna be out for that long? We'll see.

No Judge wants to get overturned, but c'mon. J. Merchan doesn't have to give him house arrest, especially since tRump paid no attention to the gag order, and he is a menace to the country. It's not a matter of getting even with tRump. It's a matter of justice, and safety for the rest of us.

Since tRump has basically threatened violence if he gets convicted, I think it would be prudent for the Judge to lock him up to prevent his fomenting and churning up violence with his mouth.
