Or just not particularly bright? Not only did he sound like e just attended harvest festival in Garberville. He's still working off the 2010 script. Taxincreases will kill small businesses. If Bain Capital is an example. That makes me support the idea all the more.

(27,787 posts)The message is the message. Romney is gone but the message survives.
He's trying to mute the reality that Obama can get all the revenue he wants by doing nothing. The Media will be helping to try and make it seem as if a deal must be reached, and that the deal should look like what Romney ran on.

(31,706 posts)He's under a lot of pressure...there's the "establishment", including Boner, who want a deal and are willing to accept tax increases. They just want this thing done quick...the further away from elections as possible and hope their sheeple forget in 2 or 4 years. On the other side are the teabaggers who would rather vote for Ayn Rand's corpse as speaker and majority leader than to any tax increases. Cantor's stuck in the middle. If he signals he's in favor of any tax increase, the hyenas of hate radio will make his life miserable...thus the gobbidly-gook. He'll keep working off that 2010 script until he's forced to do different.
