I just turn the news off. I find it's best to not feed the trolls.

7. I'm not sure what you mean by "working"

Yes, it's getting around, and, of course, riling up rabid Trump supporters, who are close to maxed-out all of the time anyway.

But overall it's hardly an effective general election message. I think it helps us more than it helps Trump.

It's the same old plays over and over, but those plays don't always help him.

15. Seen any other presidential campaign topics covered?

Just like 2016, until a juicy exploitable scandal about his opponent pops up, try to suck up as much media coverage as possible. There's only 42 minutes in a typical hour of sponsored newscast TV. If TSF can get 20 of them and squeeze out competing topics, it's working for him. Doesn't matter how ugly the story is, everyone knows he's a rude asshole, that much is baked in. People expect nasty from him, he wants to have all politicians regarded as loathsome like him so he can elevate his position by calling them out as evil and corrupt. If his opponent gets no coverage for anything better than his trashy behavior, then the plan is working and the media becomes a direct contributor to his campaign.

This strategy didn't (and couldn't) work out during the SOTU weekend, POTUS got a bunch of generally positive coverage, and whaddaya know, Biden's polls generally improved for a few days. TSF didn't even try, just took a small L presumably for efficiency of effort, but look at what's coming. This summer and fall, TSF will be doing a lot of campaigning from the courthouse steps, and he's going to get a LOT of free coverage. Biden will need to do some truly awesome presidenting even to stay close in airtime: fixing perceived problems at the border and establishing a lasting Mid-East peace agreement likely will bring him enough positive coverage to offset TSF's disgust machine, but these aren't easy things to do.

Let's see what polls look like by next Friday to see if it's working for TSF.

I just wonder if there is a tipping point where this type of media saturation without concern of merits begins to wear thin and the meh or even remote surfing sets in. The danger there is if it sets in for the whole political process and that may be what TSF is aiming for this time around.

At least most of TSF’s filters he enjoyed early in his political tenure have fallen away now and his unprocessed stench is hitting the airwaves in volume. There is that.

I really have no feel for this aspect. Agent Orange hit his tipping point with me back in the late eighties.
