than a professional. He's a narcissist! He firmly believes he is the best, brightest, most talented person alive (or dead), and that no one can make him look as good as he, himself, does. He is extremely vain, so he trusts no one else to do these things. He would just fire them, so why hire then?

he also trusts no one else not to blab to people outside his orbit about what he really looks like under all that fakery, although we do have many pictures of him that show the real disaster that he is.

He spends longer than that putting on his face.

I might reword it with, "I'm too busy working out to stay healthy, trim, and fit everyday to waste time dying my hair, getting a spray tan, putting on makeup, getting swathed in adult diapers, and squeezing into a girdle and shoe lifts."
