While You Watch Black Friday Shoppers Act Like Savage Animals.....

..........just think about this. These people are acting like a herd of crazed pack animals and treating others in a deplorable fashion......why??? So they can give their money away. Their behavior would be deplorable even if they were lining up and pushing and verbally abusing people trying to get something being handed out for free.

Now ask yourself, when was the last time you saw a group of homeless and/or underprivileged people pushing and shoving and verbally berating each other while in line to get a meal at a homeless shelter? I can tell you from experience that it ain't often. And these people are getting something for FREE, and it's something that might be the difference between them living and dying. Yet THEY can manage to treat each other with a modicum of respect.

So the next time you hear some rich consumer, who you KNOW was one of the people making asses of themselves on Black Friday, talking shit about how bad the homeless are, you might want to point out this little parallel.

If there are any right-wing science deniers out there who STILL don't believe that humans are animals, just watch the herd mentality take over at a "Doorbuster" sale. Makes me sick. Baaaaaaa.

1. It makes me sick when people who have money complain about others getting "free stuff".

Or "I built this". No you didn't. You wouldn't be able to survive without the social safety nets the government puts into place. If you want to live in a civilized society, shut up and pay your taxes. If not, Somalia or Iran would love to have you.

including education and health care.

I'd suggest Honduras or Haiti as examples of places with no government services. Iran works well as an example of a theocracy, though.

I volunteer for one of my church's meal programs, and this Monday, about 50 more people than usual showed up. There was no pushing, shoving, or violence, despite the fact that we began to run out of the food we had prepared and had to heat up some frozen pizzas fast to make sure that everyone got SOMETHING. In fact, in all the programs I've volunteered for over the years, I've never seen the kind of "feeding frenzy" that one sometimes sees in stores.
