(11,605 posts)Depending on how it gets rounded. At most, he needs to get down to 47.44 to ensure that it gets reported as 47%.

(11,605 posts)Before I left DC to go to law school, I used to have a political job that involved number-crunching. Sadly, I don't have anything close to Nate Silver's skills, but I tend to get technical about this kind of thing.

(3,491 posts)The longer the vote count goes on, the better their results look. In '16, I'm going to give that one extra respect, unlike Gallup and Rasmussen which will be best used for comic relief.

(4,667 posts)I have no idea why it isn't included in the RCP averages.
This was the first election cycle where I noticed that RCP kept out a lot of very good reliable pollsters, while including many shaky right wing numbers in their averages.
I don't view them as the go to site like I did in '08.

(413 posts)Dang this is the fourth day in a row Romney has been +6 in likely voters. Plus Obama's favorability slid 4 points in one day to 46. This is October. People we have a big problem. Someone please talk me down.

(4,667 posts)Rasmussen has Romney +4 in their daily tracking poll.
And they are showing Romney ahead in Iowa and New Hampshire. They also released a poll yesterday showing Romney tied with Obama in Ohio.
This morning on Morning Joe, they had a poll out of Pennsylvania showing the race tied at 47%-47%. Romney's momentum is continuing. On Morning Joe today, they even said that Nate Silver's forecast was wrong.
Romney also continues to lead in the aggregate of the National polls according to RCP.
People, this is a big problem.
