since 1980. The GOP has carried Texas in every POTUS election since then. When the carpetbagger Bush family came to Texas it certainly didn't help.

But basically the same thing happened around the country. Bringing religion into politics, the Southern Strategy, and phoney family values crap, the effort to control fossil fuel emissions - all has been a negative for the Democrats. Especially in the Bible Belt areas.

They can try until hell freezes over - we will rid ourselves of them at some point.....I think, I hope.

I know I'm not giving up but it is awful hard to stomach living in this state now.

I'm not giving up!! ☮

all gone, I'll never have to set foot in that place again.

I am a third generation Texan, but this is the end of the line. My last dealing with TX, by phone, was to give up any claims I had to a burial plot at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, where my family members are buried.

I love all the Texas Dems that are fighting so hard to save your state. I hope you win.

Many Hispanic legal citizens don't like what's going on at the border, even going so far as to vote for a racist.

Especially on abortion issues as almost all of them were raised Catholic.
I know I am generalizing but this comes from my Hispanic friends and family.

Catholic Hispanics particularly believe it or not. Most anti-choice Hispanics are actually evangelicals, who, unfortunately, have made big gains in the Hispanic community, particularly Texas and Florida.

Here’s one poll: https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/chart/views-on-abortion-by-race-and-ethnicity/

Also, the people coming over now are not from Mexico and they don't integrate well with the border community.

The guy is a rabid magaloon and so brainwashed since 9-11. He wants to move back to Texas but his wife and daughter want to stay in California! It’s to the point that the only conversation that my husband can have with him is work only. He puts Fox business and newsmax on in the break room all the time. When he’s not there it stays in the sports channel or local area news. I doubt he heard the vermin comment about Hispanic, Asians and African immigrants. But I wouldn’t be surprised if the guy is self loathing his ethnicity.

Democrats are communists and socialists! (i.e. Stay away from the Castro/Maduro Democrats!)

I've heard Ana Navarro say that kind of stuff permeates the airwaves in South Florida.

Who wants to practice medicine in a state where you can be prosecuted and imprisoned for saving a pregnant woman’s life? Given their support of any one having as many assault weapons as they want with no training on how to use them and no screening for mental issues, Texas Republicans place little value on people’s lives, including schoolchildren. They should be renamed the Republican Death Squad.

If we ever have hopes of winning Texas and/or Florida, we'd have to get people that agree with us to remain in those states.

Make the state so awful to liberals that you turn the state from purple to solid red.

It's not just abortion, it's also civil rights, book banning, etc.

But education and liberalism generally linked. Hard to attract top people, particularly women, if you're a regressive hellhole.
