At least eight rockets were fired at Ashkelon from Gaza on Monday afternoon alone, police said. Two of the rockets hit the city, one hitting a house directly and the other hitting a yard. No injuries were reported, but three people were treated for shock, Magen David Adom paramedics said.

(27,711 posts)My guess is that Ashkelon is so close that it's very difficult time-wise to intercept.

They are going to be deploying more batteries in the years to come.
It's a big improvement from where they were in 2006.

Hamas rocket teams have to setup without being noticed and once the launch, run like hell. It is one of many reasons they are so inaccurate with their rockets.
