To answer the question.

I really don't know how she holds the sway she does at the network but she gets to do whatever she wants and say whatever, it seems. I can't stand to watch her, causes me to yell at the screen.

When there was a wave of Biden bashing going on last year, I think it was leaving Afghanistan at the time, where she made sure she had time on every newscast on the network, within a couple days, to shit-talk Biden. When she was on RMS, Rachel looked rather uncomfortable about her. It looked, to me, like Mitchell elbowed her way into the RMS B block.

She's got pull to make sure she has a microphone/camera to spew her antidemocratic bile and nobody seems able to stop her. If she were correct in her assumptions and critiques, that would be different but she's playing for the magats here.

racist and misogynistic message the media is really saying about VP Harris, the FIRST woman of color to be Vice President, who would become President should Joe Biden have to leave office early.

Not surprisingly this is the same bullshit they did to Hillary, except they are hiding it behind Biden's age

The reason I know that is true, is because they rarely talk about the person who tried to over throw the U.S. government's age, and who is leading the republican party nomination for president.

A better question would be why she's not similarly concerned about Trump's age and, more importantly, his mental acuity. Biden can run circles around Trump from that standpoint.

I am going to dictate this, so I apologize if I missed any errors. Andrea Mitchell graduated from Penn and immediately got a job working for KYW news in Philadelphia. She was courted by and married a much older gentleman who had children in his twenties, who had a very significant job in the city, employed by what used to be called SmithKline and French, which has now become Glaxo. He happened to be African-American, and his name was Gil Jackson.

She was assigned to City Hall as a beat reporter and covered Frank Rizzo in City Hall. Those here who are older Philadelphians understand the complexities of this last sentence. Rizzo, when he would call on her and press conferences, rather than calling her, Miss Mitchell called her Mrs. Jackson, because he like poking her choice of spouse, as a tinhorn white supremacist himself.

Now this following incident was reported in a significant Philadelphia publication, and was never refuted. One day Andrea is walking through City Hall wearing sunglasses pass the mayors office and he sees her looking downcast. He calls her over and, as a very, very sharp retired police officer, he asks her to remove her sunglasses, which show a blackeye. She starts to cry, confesses that she had been abused, and Rizzo sends police officers over to her home, to collect some belongings for her, and to instruct her husband that if he ever approaches or damages her again it will be the window treatment for him. the window treatment as exercised by the Philadelphia police department in those days was to take a “miscreant” up to a high floor and throw him out the window. It would be then reported as suicide.

Mr Jackson who suffered from a neuro-degenerative disease was cowed and apparently vanished from her life. Andrea went on to a fabulous career in broadcast journalism. I will say this about the people involved here: while she was a reporter, KYW, she did an excellent job, really superb and was part of a terrific news department, which is no longer exists, of course. Rizzo for his part for whatever he was meted out what he considered street justice and pre-dated Clint Eastwood’s Dirty Harry character. I happen to know one of the police officers involved in this, and as a patient, he swore me to confidentiality which I observed until way after his death. This police officer was the second most frightening Jewish man I ever knew in my life. Someday I will write about the first.

Sometimes they have Katy Tur on with her, perhaps on her 'bad days'. Tur actually covered for Mitchell sort of nodding off and she kinda brought her back. Not like Mitch's deer in headlights stare, Andrea actually closed her eyes and her chin dropped a bit. She nodded off.

I almost always change channels when she comes on, but on really 'newsy' days, I may leave it on MSNBC despite her. If I saw her nod off on camera a few times, it mush happen more.

Been disliking her strongly since the Reagan years when she would fawn over him, and almost always wore red because he was said to like women dressed in red.

In the last couple of weeks, I had to go to Switzerland Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 28-29), then Belgium Monday, then Paris Tuesday, then Lower Saxony Wednesday, then the Netherlands Thursday, then Spain Friday thru Monday (two days ago), when I got home at 11:00 PM. The only reason I wasn't in Frankfurt yesterday is because they canceled at the last moment.

OK, I'm "only" 71, but if I can handle this, then an exceptional guy not even ten years older can handle Joe Biden's job, and he IS exceptional. Granted, not every guy can handle his job, but not every "older" guy can handle my job, either. The fact is, though, that SOME of us can, and Joe Biden is one of them.

Concern trolling involves someone opposing an idea or viewpoint, yet acting like they’re an advocate for the cause. A concern troll offers undermining criticisms under the guise of concern. Their goal is to sabotage the cause being discussed, and to inspire doubt among group members. This occurs in groups rallied around a particular issue, especially in political parties, and the goal of concern trolling is to cause dissent within a community.

I think that this is even worse. She is cynical and wants to stay relevant so she is harping on the "most popular" horse race type questions that the pundits are talking about.

We should collectively, be thinking about, not necessarily age, but physical and cognitive conditions. If there is a politician, say Diane Feinstein at the end, or John Fetterman at the early stages after his stroke, where there is concern, I think that attention needs to be paid.

With President Biden, he was making gaffes when he was in his 40's and 50's. He stutters. He also says things that are at times, inartful. Like when he told President Obama, "This is a big fucking deal" about the ACA. He was certainly right, but he spoke in a manner that was not typical of the Vice President. People made a stink over that.

We have had Presidents, like Reagan, Like Woodrow Wilson, Like John F Kennedy, like Franklin Roosevelt, who were at times, incapacitated by Dementia (Reagan), Stroke (Wilson), Addison's Disease (Kennedy), the effects of Polio (Roosevelt) and we didn't even know about it until After the fact. That is scary.

President Biden is in good health. His policy decisions absolutely show that he has enough control of his faculties that he is effective as the President.

Unlike Trump, who is a complete idiot, no matter what age, President Biden is fit to be President now, and will be fit (barring any emergency) in 2024.

This is, unfortunately and disgustingly, about ratings and relevance. There is no "there, there" except for what the media is trying to create.
