It's a beautiful autumn day where I live. It's sunny, 74 degrees with a gentle breeze. The trees in their fall splendor, and I'm sitting on my back porch taking in all this natural beauty.

But....

There's a helicopter that's been circling above my home and surrounds, which has me very concerned.
This is how the County looks for criminals on the loose in the area.

Then I get an alert on my phone!

ALERT XXTOWN: Today from 10-2pm, the 6th annual Opioid Awareness Walk will be starting in XXCity and continuing west on B***** Avenue. The walk will pass through town and end in YYYTown. Out of support, a DEA helicopter will be following this event. There is no need to be alarmed. Enjoy the weekend and come see the Xxxxtown Community Outreach Program in the Civic Center for Fall-O-Ween & Downtown Trick or Treating from 10am-2pm!

What the hell? Do you know how loud helicopters are? Do you know how scary they look when they're close by? I rely on opioids in order be able to live my life with less crippling pain. Should I be hiding from the DEA? Four friggin' hours of this noise. I can hardly hear the birds in the yard.
I hate these people

Apparently, judging from the message - other residents of my town were worried as well.
This is not how an organization garners support for their cause.
Oh, and the main event with kids screeching and loud speakers blaring is in the County park directly behind my back yard.
Arrrghhhh!!!

They even call it the sound of freedom.

It could also be why when they get close to the airbase to watch for hours on end, they experience tinnitus.
