Today is my 20th DU birthday.
20 years since I became a registered member.
I had actually been lurking since early March, but was too shy to post, so didn't bother to register until later.
It was the start of the Iraq war that brought me here.
Those were such horrible times, it was hard to imagine that things could be even worse in 20 years, but it seems like they are.
Thanks to everyone here for helping me to get through the insanity.

at any rate here's a few frogs celebrating with you (or at least they look like happy frogs to me)
which was a loooong time before I found DU.
And yes, they've always looked like happy frogs to me too.

DU has been the best, cheapest therapy in my 22 years here....
I'd happily live in a coqui infested area.
Of course I'll never be able to catch up with the people who were here from the beginning. I'll always feel like a relative latecomer compared to you.

20 years last month. It’s a great great place on the internet to still have, after all these years. I wasn’t sure that you weren’t a bit of a troll in those early days, if I recall correctly!!
I don't know if just because I'm naturally sarcastic, or if I picked a bad time to register, just when the primary season was heating up and everyone thought supporters of other candidates were trolls.
Anyway, happy belated birthday to you too.

And I had my 20th this year, too! Plus I sure agree with you, what would we have done without DU?! 
We'll have to throw you a big shindig when you hit 200,000 posts, which should be coming up pretty soon!
It's a little embarrassing since I'm not that chatty. But I was a DU.2 mod, a DU.3 host and I do volunteer for MIRT whenever I've been eligible (since 2013) and those posts do add up... That's my story and I'm sticking with it! 
Much more satisfying than Smooth Frog.
