The top two vote getters in each thread will advance to the finals along with the next four highest vote getters overall.

Preliminary Round will run for 72 hours.

photographic artistry and with this photo the twisted trees lining the straight road, and the driftwood surprise element of Drift Wood's composition, I was taken up by the blown tree and cloud composition to give an unexpected pleasure to me. It struck me strongly and made me prefer it, altho really slightly, over the rest. I wonder if this could be that it reflects my comfort zone with painting taking over, I don't really know...

And B&W is the perfect medium for it, otherwise they are all so good, I wouldn't be able to choose.
