Question answered: Mitt Romney *IS* a racist

he has said that blacks and Hispanic voters voted, not the correct way, but the incorrect way because he says they were bribed with goodies.

he did not say this about white voters.

to suggest that nonwhite voters voted against him because of a character flaw is deeply offensive and racially stereotyping.

That's why he didn't include them in his little fairy tale. All good, hard-working, intelligent (i.e. WHITE) people voted for him. It was all the other lazy, stupid freeloaders who put Obama over the top. But you know, he's not racist or anything.

...it's also one of his many "home" states that borders one of his other "home" states of which he just happened to serve as governor. He didn't just lose here, he helped turn the state from teabagger red to true blue. "Please proceed, Governor."

“Look, If you want voters to like you, the first thing you’ve got to do is to like them first. And it’s certainly not helpful to tell voters that you think their votes were bought.”

yes. it's not a winning strategy to attempt to get votes from people that you openly display contempt for.

the more they count, the lower his share goes. it's at 47.7% and there are about 2.5 million votes left to count in California. Obama should gain about half a million votes at least once they're counted and Romney's 47.7% will drop below 47.5% to the point that even rounding cannot save him from the rich irony his god has rewarded him with.

maybe you and I should hold out for Romney to get 46% LOL.

but the 47% is just too rich in irony to hope for anything else.

They overwhelmingly rejected him too. I think all minorities could see what an ass hole this guy truly is. I never once thought either Bush or McCain were racist (even with Bush's nasty black baby out of wedlock campaign against McCain and McCain's own "I'll always hate the gooks" comments in the past). But I could sense a real discomfort with Romney around minorities. It's telling, because even by management consulting and private equity standards, there was little to no diversity at the top of Bain.

Hell his entire primary campaign was based off "I hate Latinos more than the others". That's partly what killed Rick Perry. He didn't hate enough.

As another poster mentioned, it's curious if something happened in Mexico, or whether it's the Mormon church's racist policies through much of its history that influenced Romney so much. Or maybe it's just that he's totally and completely clueless having been brought up in his own bubble of privalage (that's letting him off too easy). After all we also know he was a bully in school, so he's displayed psychopathic tendencies throughout life. People should read the book "Snakes in Suits: When psychopaths go to work". He's characteristic of the types profiled in the book.

Either way, fuck him. He's nothing more than a footnote. We can all be thankful.

is racist. They didn't allow people of color to hold the priesthood until 1978.

However, I am sick of Mitt Romney---we should just let him sink into obscurity.
