operation gone wrong. Unless the President is expected to know the details of every action in every CIA outpost in the world, I don't see how any blame can be put on him at all. Petraeus being a lifelong military man likely had military type operations going on in Benghazi that blew up on him and he did NOT notify the White House of the true nature of the attack or its origins.
