He lost the election. He and his opinions are irrelevant now, or they should be. Yes his remarks yesterday pissed me off too, but what pisses me off even more is that the media still cares what he has to say at all. What is this going to be a shadow presidency or something? This reminds me of when the media couldn't stop focusing on Palin after she lost 4 years ago.
Obama won, he lost. Move on.

(31,706 posts)Except for his quick concession on election night, Willard had remained out of sight since his thumping. Yesterday was his first attempt to explain his loss. He could have been contrite, like a Bob Dole, who admitted he got his ass kicked and be honest and insightful...or he could be Willard and shirk responsibility and blame others for his misfortune. What was more interesting is that call wasn't to the media but as intended for those who wrote the big checks...thus he couldn't tell them straight up that he pissed their money away. Once again the media was able to eavesdrop on the real Willard and once again he came out looking like a rat.
Don't worry...without any political office or power base, Willard's assured of a long, deserved political obscurity. The old saying goes that "nobody like a loser...especially a sore one". While rushpublican fight over if the party is "conservative enough or not" one thing they all already agree on: Willard's a loser. He'll be lucky to get a xmas card from the RNC...
