And every Trumpster in public office is doing everything they can to suppress the votes of non-Trumpsters.

I draw hope from the fact that a lot of their voter suppression initiatives are getting shot down in court. And the ones that are upheld, well, the voters will find a way to meet their ridiculous criteria and cast their votes anyway.

Due to voter suppression and a massive campaign of lies and outright slander.

People know that, and especially so after seeing the attempted coup to overthrow democracy and the constitution when it failed to repeat.

But we should not be complacent, and should double and triple our efforts in 2024, so that we get a voting rights act passed in honor of John Lewis, and national laws to safeguard rights; laws that are unbreakable by the Extreme Court.

Victory must be top-down.

But polling, especially and specifically comparing it to this same time last year, Biden is way behind his numbers from last election. I'm very worried. Everywhere I turn it's nothing but "trump, trump trump" starting to feel like 2016 when it was nearly impossible for any other candidate to get any press at all.
Trump creates chaos and fear and uncertainty and that sells newspapers. That is all they care about. The news media will happily sell out the country to get the insane clown posse back in the WH.

That's what he will be by the time November 2024 comes around.

Independents and swing voters will not.

Obviously there is a lot of work to be done to win. Nothing should be taken for granted. But I believe if he is the nominee then he will get even less votes than he did last time.

Hence, all the efforts to make voting more difficult. We must be diligent and do everything possible to get out the vote and crush them at the ballot box so their efforts to win by cheating just do not work.

12. Axelrod warns Cornel West bid could tip election to Trump

Jill Stein was responsible for electing TFG in 2016. Now, the bid by Cornel West is designed to help re-elect TFG

https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/4086732-axelrod-warns-cornel-west-bid-could-tip-election-to-trump/

Democratic strategist David Axelrod said the Green Party bid by academic Cornel West could draw votes away from President Biden, leading to a victory for former President Trump.

“In 2016, the Green Party played an outsized role in tipping the election to Donald Trump. Now, with Cornel West as their likely nominee, they could easily do it again. Risky business,” he tweeted.....

Axelrod compared West to 2016 Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who some blamed for splitting the vote for Hillary Clinton in key electoral states, potentially causing Clinton’s electoral loss to former President Trump.

Stein won more votes than Trump’s margin of victory in Wisconsin and Michigan, states which would have tipped the outcome of the election if Clinton had won them.

The claims that only his base would support him should he be the nominee are simply wrong. Many GOP voters will vote for him, even if they disapprove of him personally, over any Democrat. They've done it twice already.

There are Republicans who, even if they hate Trump, hate Biden (or any Democrat) more.

There are "independents" who will vote for Trump because they have the memory and attention span of a goldfish, and just aren't excited about Biden.

There are Democrats who won't bother to show up to vote.

I'm not saying Biden doesn't have a good chance of winning. I think he has an excellent chance. But the situation is way more complicated and delicate than you imagine.
