Puppy Nailed to Railroad Track Gets New Paw

Things are looking up for a puppy who was found mutilated in Albany, New York: he is getting a new paw.

It appears that someone nailed him and two other three-week-old pit bull puppies to railroad tracks by their left back paws, but they got loose and were found and rescued, according to Pet-Abuse.com.

All three dogs were treated for infected wounds, malnutrition and dehydration. One of them, Pearl, is missing two toes. Another, the smallest pup, didn’t survive.

The third puppy, Hudson, is missing part of his paw, which may have been sawed off, Pet-Abuse.com states. But now he has got himself a custom-made prosthesis, courtesy of Dr. Tom Bowersox at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and many compassionate donors.

More than 5 million dogs are put down every year in the USA and it is shameful to treat these loving creatures like garbage (or, in this case, worse). There is no good reason for anyone to engage in amateur breeding, and with 25% of the dogs dropped off at shelters to die being purebreds, it would seem there are too many impulse buyers out there who spend $400 to $1500 for a dog that they will drop at a shelter when it suits them.

$2000 per dog for a breeding license and a $1000 fine for having an unlicensed intact dog would be a step toward preventing this kind of abuse and stopping the slaughter of innocent yet unwanted dogs.

So I'll just say that I'm glad there are still people in the world that devote their time
to saving abused animals. If you can't devote time at least donate money or donate
food , treats anything to your local animal shelter.

I'm a huge dog lover .

When I hear of such horrific abuse on innocent animals I HATE HUMANS and I wonder if our species should even continue to exist. God I hate so many damned humans. Seriously, if someone can do this to a puppy can they be called sentient? Do they have anything resembling what any of use would call a soul?

Obviously, I am grateful for the caring people who have helped these puppies.

Subhuman doesn't even begin to describe the life form that
would do something like this, not once but multiple times.
