Hey joggers out there...do you jog with your wallet in your pocket?

Your driver's license? Keys?

I jog my dogs with empty pockets. If I didn't live really rural, I expect the most I'd bring is my house key....

Still pondering about Broadwell's driver's license....

1. A lot of women don't carry wallets

When I'm unable to carry a purse somewhere, I do sometimes put my ID, my debit card, and maybe a few dollars in a pocket.

If just going around the corner, when I had my dog, no.

I imagine if I were jogging in a DC park, I would--if no other reason than to be identified if I met a violent end... Lately with the increasingly outrageous behavior of some drivers towards joggers and pedestrians, I've felt like I need to carry a living will and advanced directives. (and I am only slightly speaking "tongue-in-cheek"...

you just never know what's gonna happen. When I run the dog we have a little backpack/pouch thing she wears (with reflective stripes) and she can pack-mule stuff if we want. My water is in a camelback (which can hold a key and ID,too).

4. Not a jogger here, but this is very odd

People I know who jog keep their ID secure in a wrist band pocket or zipped up in jacket or pants. She appears to be an excercise junkie, so it is surprising that she lost it - especially because she is supposedly experienced in security matters. Obviously the latter trait was not true, given the stupidity over the mail account.

I run with my phone (for music and emergencies), and my car key if I'm away from home.

8. This is a possibility:

Broadwell may have had people following her, she may have felt threatened (by whom, I don't know but it wouldn't be out of the question in circles like that) so when she goes jogging she brings her wallet with her.

She is jogging at her usual spot and notices a suspicious car/persons/etc. following her.

She drops her wallet in case she is taken so the police will know where she was last before her disappearance.

9. I pretty much always carry or have an ID ready to produce.

I grew up under the impression that in Illinois I was expected to have ID along with my draft registration card.

Now, I keep a notification in my wallet that I am diabetic and a list of current meds and emergency contacts.

I feel incompletely dressed if I leave the house without my wallet and a key--I've been carrying my army issued dog-tag on my key-ring since 1971.

If you drive to the park to jog, you have to have your DL and car and house keys, of course, plus the cell phone.

Big Hint: Keep your cell in its own pocket so when you answer phone, you don't drag out and drop your license.

13. Agree with your tip... I can't tell you how close I came to losing both cash & license....

Ditto if you keep gloves or kleenex in a pocket. Keep the keys, DL, cash, etc. in its own zippered pocket, if at all possible

I carry a purse, not a wallet. I don't have a wallet that fits in a pocket. If I'm out like that I carry my ID, a debit card, a few bucks, and my cell phone. I can see pulling out your cell phone and having your ID fall out.

in my right hand. Run on a track within sight of my car on a park gravel track these days.

17. Losing the license struck me as very odd....

For example, when I take my dogs swimming, my car keys are in a pocket that velcros shut. Likewise, I have zipper pockets for certain items, such as car keys and wallet, if I'm out hiking with them somewhere.

So yes, it seems as if she could have dropped the license on purpose if somebody suspicious was following her.

Another possibility that struck me...if she was planning a disappearance. Leave the license as a false lead....

You realize this is the same park that Chandra Levy's body was found? And other women's bodies?

She lost the license within 24 hours of the scandal breaking? I just don't believe in coincidences.

If we're galloping the horses at a forest preserve instead of at home, I can't think of a single person who would take their ID with them to exercise. Its far too common to lose stuff doing physical activity although enough DUers responded to me yesterday that they DO carry their ID with them that I have to believe it isn't as UNcommon as I initially thought.

20. so now I can add the license and General #6 into my growing list of odd events

there is a saying in the military: If something happens one time, it's happenstance. Two times; it's coincidence. Three times; it's enemy action.

In this case we have as context a long term pattern of attempted coups by the MIC/rw: Bay of Pigs; the assassination of a President, his brother/Presidential candidate and a renowned spiritual leader; Watergate; Iran/Contra; trumped up terra war against Iraq (including outing CIA agents). We can go further back to attempts on FDR's life, the McCarthy era, etc.

We have a sitting President who is seen as a threat by the RW. And a short-term sequence of events leading up to and immediately after his re-election, which may or may not be related but appear to fit a pattern at least of being strange:

1. Winter 2012 RW Presidential candidate is caught on film saying he needs some sort of terrorist incident to boost his candidacy. (part of the 47% tape, as I recall)

2. ~August an ugly, bigoted movie short designed to inspire hatred is translated and released into the ME (why? in order to spark unrest?)

3. Unrest follows, grows into riots with a concurrent attack on a Consulate in the ME, and an ambassador is murdered in the attack on the anniversary of 911.

4. RW Presidential Candidate appears on teevee with a Press Announcement even while the attack is ongoing and riots are spreading, to disparage the President's response.

5. The Candidate is caught on film smirking after his back is turned to the audience and he thinks he's safely off camera/out of view.

6. A 2-week backlash ensues against the easily exposed lies re: the President's response and inappropriateness of the Candidates behavior and clear ignorance of the on the ground situation.

7. After a lull, the RW begins a chorus of trumped up "Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi" calls for investigation, in the process releases classified info and outs a CIA operation.

7. Sandy drowns (out) Benghazi.

8. The RW leader of the house is notified of an investigation into a 4-star General/RW hero. Sits on it.

8. The President is re-elected, totally shocking the RW who assumed they had won it.

9. The day of or immediately after the election, the President is notified of the investigation, the 4star General resigns giving sex scandal as excuse. (Since when is a sex scandal an excuse for a RW 1%er to quit a job?)

10. A couple days later, another 4-star General is demoted due to lavish spending sprees.

11. A couple more days, and a 3rd 4-star General is implicated in possible sex scandal and his new post put on hold. The other party (Broadwell) in relationship with General #1 is found to have classified information on her computer and stored in her home.

12. On or around 11/11, Broadwell's driver's license is found in same park that Chandra Levy's body was found. Police notify FBI, who advise police to hold the license indefinitely.

13. During the prior couple months, a top Admiral and another top General chose to retire.

14. I just remembered this one. A photo emerges from a summer event linking RW operative Rove to Broadwell. Broadwell had legit reason to be at event. Rove did not.

15. A 5th or 6th General is caught with his pants down.

That I actually lost my license while rollerblading once, I'm feeling pretty weird about the place where it was found. This is the CIA we are dealing with here, and that would look like a message to Broadwell, if I were her.

Still, it's possible that she was distracted by all of this mess and it fell out of her pocket. Very odd timing, though.

No... I never carried anything with me...never when I went to the park with the kids... except for a house key clipped to the belt

25. i don't jog- but my wife does, and she ALWAYS takes her i.d. with her.

and she's only lost it twice in 8 years.
