Among the reasons I am not President, nor hold any elective office

is that I have no patience with those whom I perceive as idiots.

Had I gotten that question in a press conference about Susan Rice, the one our only President (as Molly Ivins would say) fielded, I'd have said, "This comes from the assholes who believed Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction????" Had I been feeling less charitable, I would have said that Senators McCain and Graham could go fuck themselves.

There are reasons I don't hold elective office.

Words falls out of my mouth before I can think twice and there they are! I admire Mr Prez for having much more restraint than I would have had at the presser this afternoon. His demeanor and body language spoke volumes.

.... Yeah, I couldn't do it either. If some winger journalist gave me a mean insulting question, I'd probably leap over people and give him a good old-fashioned shiner. That would set a precedent, wouldn't it? If you listen real close to POs answers, though, he does curse them and never uses a word of profanity. It's called class, and it's a rare, but invaluable, trait that I personally don't possess.

that such a question was being asked. I liked him in that moment.

I think a lot of people would rather see that than allowing reporters to run the show. Think of
Alan Alan Grayson, Chris Christie, Barney Frank.

So what I'm saying, SheliaT -- I'd vote for you!
