How is it that an unsavory woman - a grifter, to be honest - has a base pass for Centcom HQ?
The US Central Command is headquartered at MacDill AFB in Tampa. Jill Kelley lives right along Bayshore Blvd, which ends within the boundaries of MacDill. One can throw stones from her house to the office occupied by the 4Star du jour in charge of Centcom.
Centcom is running all of America's current wars. Centcom is flying the drones, in real time, from little video game rooms right there at MacDill, that are buzzing around Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraqistan, Iranistan, and elsewhere. Ships that operate in the Persion Gulf are under Centcom's purview.
And Seductress Jill has a base pass.
She was in the habit of hobbing (the knobs??) of the higher military brass there at ol' Centcom. Her own social smorgasbörd. Coming and going, and then coming at will.
The American War Fighters™ were her special little social circle. The fact that she was bankrupt, running from creditors, about to be foreclosed on some bad real estate deals, etc., seems not to have mattered a whit.
These paragons of Military Virtue, the closest things we have here to Jedi Knights, didn't have the common fucking sense to steer clear of her and her sister?
Really?
Middle schoolers show better sense.
High schoolers could soon be graduating into their lower ranks. Moms and Dads, is *that* the sort of judgement you want to lead your kid in war?
Nine Fucking Generals, so far, by some reporters reports, are said to be involved in this.
And that's just the General officers.
And on the other side of this little tale is Paula Broadwell. Not a Tampan, she is, however, an exemplar of the larger issue here. She Who Serviced A 4Star Dick is, herself, a West Point grad. Presumably a model of what a good soldier is supposed to be. A service academy grad.
Mixed metaphorically, let me close with: "Houston, we have a problem. We have met the enemy, and he is us."

Jill Kelley is not answering to anyone, not being interviewed by authorities, it's like white gloves on this person.
