"Stuff" like tax breaks and loopholes. . . so they can buy toys like yachts and car elevators while the "stuff" Obama voters got was health insurance and a chance at a better future.

(6,169 posts)Not to mention the Romney voters are most likely the same people who cheered on the Iraq war. Now they want it paid for by the people who mostly opposed it.

(53,661 posts)And we have moral values, we just don't try to beat everyone else in the head with a stick to make them do as we want. Because it's wrong.
The gifts to the MIC are likely the prime reason people voted for Romney. They don't want the wars to end, they want to get those contracts and fleece other Americans of their tax dollars.
Ironically, they don't believe in paying taxes on the money they got from tax payers. That's why they're squealing so much. The gravy train that let them live high off the hog, may not be there for them anymore.

(12,530 posts)This argument that Republicans have introduced, this notion that freeloaders voted Obama in order to get free stuff--doesn't stand up to even cursory scrutiny. Of course, it doesn't need to stand up to much scrutiny, given the intended audience.

(6,335 posts)Look at Marin COunty CA. 74% Obama! The average income is $130,000 a year. I've heard that 65% of millionaires who make over $1 million a year want higher taxes. So this GOP trickle down doesnt appeal to most of the rich who are smart enough it doesnt work.

(904 posts)I honestly don't know a single person in my family who votes democratic and is on welfare. My 90 year grandma is on social security: I guess they'd like to take that away from her, after she paid into it her whole life. What SOBs... The "I've got mine so screw you" GOP crowd needs to stop worshiping greed and start giving a damn.

(37,364 posts)who would pay for "stuff." Consensus was that Romney's promised stuff would have been payed for by the middle class and that the President's promised stuff saved them money. Happy for the election results because I sure as hell can afford to pay for another car for Mitt to put in his fancy garage.

(919 posts)I guess he'll give his 1% supporters all those tax loopholes, tax breaks, and stuff like that, but if you are in need of food, healthcare, or shelter, you can just forget about it! Boy, they have their priorities all screwed up.
