White supremacist rally "clowned" by counter protest

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say no one was arrested during a loud – and very colorful – KKK rally and counter-protest in uptown Charlotte Saturday afternoon.

Members of the National Socialist Movement joined the Ku Klux Klan for an anti-immigration rally at Old City Hall on West Trade Street, but the counter-protesters outnumbered them at least five to one.

Instead of shouting, the protesters used squeaky toys, whistles, and noisemakers to drown out the amplified speeches. Many dressed as clowns.

When the speakers talked about “White Power,” the protesters sprinkled white flour. Another held a sign reading “Wife Power.”

3. In all my years of activism and "guerilla theater," the best one was in Austin...

Where the Klan got a permit to speak on the Capitol grounds. Well, they showed up to an audience of LEOs. But wait! A yellow school bus arrived and disgorged a bunch of bar flies from South Austin, who dutifully arrayed themselves in a line facing the Klan, turned around in unison, bent over, dropped drawers and mooned.

The DPS officers were stifling laughs, the Klan looked at each other, folded up and left.

It's on a video that is occasionally shown on Access T.V. Channel 10 in Austin.

I was so glad to see that the kkk got just what they deserved when they tried to bring hate to the this city. It is sad to see these monsters still haven't gotten the news that their time is over!! They still hide behind their sheets and try to make others feel inferior to them when in fact they are the clowns and I am glad some people showed them how silly they really look in their dresses!!
