The thing about city people buying summer houses out here

is well known, and renting for a weekend has its backlashes, but I just heard about cheap summer scumbags renting out their pools for an afternoon.

Meanwhile, a bunch of us can't find a place to live.

About a woman who lives in the city in a neighborhood with other homes and she was renting out her pool. Neighbors complained about the constant noise of people partying and parked cars up and down the street at all hours. I think they took her to court but a decision has yet to be made.
Is this a thing now? Renting out your pool?

Her neighborhood had become a VRBO haven. Nobody actually lived there. She made a bundle on the house. Moved to Colorado.

I want to be in the hilly area which is sparsely populated. And I found out that you cannot build on a piece of property unless it has a "ruin" on it. IOW they are trying to stop urban sprawl so they only want people to buy on land that was previously built on. Most of these "houses" are a mess.

Then when I was in Villa Nova de Millfontes, which is right on the water everyone I spoke to told me there was no vacancies. And yet there were tons of apartment houses. But someone told me that people keep these vacant so they have their summer place.

That’s tough territory.

I lived in Glen Cove for 20 years and the same thing is happening on the “Gold Coast.”
