Six Degrees of David Petraeus

An old friend of mine is getting the last laugh on David Petraeus. Admiral Bill Fallon was one of the general’s biggest detractors, calling him an “ass kissing little chicken shit” while Petraeus was pushing for the surge in Iraq and Fallon was head of CENTCOM. Fallon retired and is now the CEO of a cyber security company. Bill and I were shipmates on two NROTC cruises and went through the Naval Aviation Training Command together. That’s my tenuous connection to the affair of the day.

Apparently Petraeus was kissing more than superiors' asses.

1. I guess Petraeus should have had more control of himself. He has himself to blame for this.

I think the called him a media general.
