1. The Supreme Court, the gerrymander, dark money

enforced pregnancy and the failure to address climate change put the structure of our institutions under hydraulic pressure.

4. I think it depends on your definition

Do I expect democracy to go away? Very small chance.

Do I see us becoming a very non-representative democracy? Where votes are rarely effectual and the minority carries too much power? It has already happened and we are in danger of having it cemented in place for a long time.
