Why does the thought of Newt teaching history scare the crap out of me?

He is on joe's morning show as I'm sure many of you are watching too. He is promoting more of his books. And he mentioned he wrote some children's books to teach history to 1-4th grade??? No wonder our kids don't learn history people like Newt write the books for them! How long before Texas makes his books the textbooks for US history? And we wonder why our kids ain't learning geez!

It is way more difficult to write kid's books. My friend is a very well known children's author. He has multiple books in the advanced reading section in many schools. His name is Andy Gutelle. He is on Amazon and everyone raves about his books. He was valedictorian in my H.S. class and wicked smart. Buy his books
Newt bores adults why wouldn't he bore children

Newt says things that make the rubes say "aah!" in wonder and amazement because he throws in a few multi-syllabic nuggets. Remember his assessment of the Congressional Budget Office? He said the CBO was a socialist reactionary institution.

Well, hell, Newt, reactionaries are ultraconservatives who strive to maintain the status quo. It is incompatible with the tenets of socialism.

And the CBO ? It came into being during the Nixon administration.

I know Newt is credentialed, but him trying to tweak a buck from writing history for grades 1-4 is frightening.
