What if when President Obama said, in the second debate, "Please proceed, Governor," he did do in full knowledge that he knew that the Republicans had attempted to create an October surprise?

I've never been quite able to fathom how Obama knew in advance that there would be a semantic showdown over the relatively nuanced difference between "an act if terror" and "a terrorist attack," and then prepared for it in advance. How did he know Romney was going to try to go for the kill on that idea?

It makes more sense to me that Obama said "Please proceed, Governor" in order to try to taunt Romney into disclosing what he knew about what really happened in Benghazi.

But you do bring up and interesting thought there. What was the date for that debate? I watched it on livestream while I filled out my mail-in ballot.

It's possible, and if so, makes sense as to why the prez was so calm, if he did know it was a set up, he must have known he was going to have the director replaced real soon, like right after the election. I certainly would have. I still think it's a backroom attempt to mess up a re-election and the truth will come out before long, maybe after the inauguration. I'm more worried about an attempt on his life than ever before now though.
