Calling someone "illegal" defines him/her as someone who does not have the right to exist. In much of the Southwest, this has lead to killings.

It doesn't really matter what you call them because those who hate will use that term to further their hate regardless. I was born in the Southwest and have lived here for most of my life. I understand what you're referring to very well.
