And you, Ms. Macke, are a twit.

Tricia Macke off the air
Fox 19 managers arent talking about why news co-anchor Tricia Macke wasnt anchoring Sundays newscasts, as she usually does. Im hearing she was suspended for her Facebook remarks calling MSNBCs Rachel Maddow an angry young man.
We dont comment on personnel matters, says WXIX-TV General Manager Bill Lanesey. And then he volunteered: We expect Tricia to be back on the anchor desk Tuesday (tomorrow).
Kimberly Holmes Wiggins, who usually anchors Friday-Saturday, anchored the Fox 19 10 p.m. news Sunday night instead of Macke... More at link above.
By the way, although Rachel did receive some support in the responses, there were an equal number of folks who were nasty. Show your support for Rachel and add your own responses!
Here's a photo of Ms Macke:

And here's another brilliant missive published in the Enquirer, no doubt from one of Ms Macke's fans:

(11,733 posts)Fox 19 on Nov. 9 apologized for an ignorant comment made by news anchor Tricia Macke on her personal Facebook page last month. Mackes comment, Rachel Maddow is such an angry young man, sparked outrage among gay-rights organizations for its depiction of MSNBCs openly gay broadcaster as a man.
... Fox 19 posted its apology along with a statement from Macke describing her comment as insensitive and inappropriate. Macke wrote: I apologize to Ms. Maddow and any others who may have been offended by my comments, as they do not reflect my firm beliefs in individual and equal rights, and they certainly do not represent the opinions or position of my employer WXIX-TV."

(13,620 posts)should be able to but knows better. The ol' double standard. If she raised her voice and really gave it to them, she'd be called a shrill harpy or something like that. She has to keep it mellower than the guys.

(17,651 posts)Good looking, smart as hell, liberal, hosting an extremely popular show, guest appearances on MTP and on a variety of talk shows.
Ms. Macke sounds like a jealous, petty hater.
When you've got nothing intelligent to say, you always resort to schoolyard bully tactics.
Go Rachel!!
