SPRINGFIELD, MO. -- A southwest Missouri woman has been charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child for smoking methamphetamine with her 13-year-old daughter.
The Springfield woman told police she might have smoked meth with her daughter five or six times.
According to court documents, the daughter told police her mother gave her meth more times than she could remember. Prosecutors say Lampe told police she knew it was wrong to give her daughter the drug, but she did it because the girl would throw a fit if she didn't get what she wanted.
Electronic court records do not indicate whether the woman, who was arrested Friday, has an attorney. Greene County offices were closed Monday in observance of the Veterans Day holiday.

(36,343 posts)"Investigators say Lampe not only provided meth to her daughter but also prescription drugs: alprazolam, and hydrocodone."
Apparently the girl was quite knowledgeable about meth as she expalined what "hot rail" was:
"The young teen said she would smoke it, snort it or hot rail the drug. A hot rail, the girl described, meant using a glass pipe to inhale smoke from methamphetamine."
