Tacopina asked Carroll about the dress she was wearing on the day of the alleged rape. Judge Kaplan immediately interjected and dismissed the jury for the day. After the jury left, Judge Kaplan inquired about Tacopina's intentions with this line of questioning.

(22,048 posts)This is a civil case and the jury is allowed to make common sense observations in their thinking and deliberations.
For example, Trump's absence doesn't create a good optic. Of course, his presence would create a negative impression, too.
So far, the case looks very strong. I hope the jury, which is aware of far more detail than I, will find for Ms. Carroll.

(1,204 posts)But E Jean is coming across as honest. "Life is stranger than fiction" is a good fit here - her story ring true because it's not a clean, sanitized series of events. This is how life works. You don't react to a crisis the way you think you're going to, ever.
