Though I posted this last night before I went to bed, I've given it more thought since then and don't know what to think now. I've been checking these numbers a couple times a week for years and watched the steady (r)evolution of MSNBC, but this is stark:
These are the ratings from Monday evening before the election. There's nothing out of the ordinary from previous weeks. MSNBC, and Rachel in particular, have been steadily gaining ground for the past year, but remain the underdog. Sometime Maddow beats Hannity by a slim margin:
Now these are the numbers from Wednesday and Thursday after the election. See what happened here?
Friday's numbers aren't posted yet, but I wonder if this is a trend, or is there some reason for the increased viewership. Feel free to speculate because I have no idea what's going on.

(2,795 posts)I don't know what the big numbers difference between Fox and MSNBC is before and after the election.
Maybe the people that were on the fence realized after Fox's debacle of election night coverage and their shock with the Romney loss showed those people how much they lie and make things up. It was pretty obvious to everyone in the country after the election that they were making up polls that gave them the results that "they" wanted, not what was actually reflective of the electorate.
I just hope it stays that way. More people need to get out of that rethug bubble and learn what is really happening in this country. Fox News is a rethug, paranoid, hate filled, fear mongering cesspool.
