The Obama coalition has to learn that midterm elections are just as important as Presidential years.

I hope this time the President will do more to help get out the vote.

The lesson Obama should have learned in 2010 is that your people will sit out a mid-term election if you kowtow to the top 0.1%.

But that Friday presser tells me it's 2008-2010 all over again.

Prediction: The RW will call the Grand Bargain "Obamanomics" and deride it as socialism. That, in turn, will be used to "prove" it really is progressive.

came damn close to dumping Michelle Bachman. All it takes is hard work to get the vote out. Remember: The Republicans stay home, too. Get involved with the Democratic Party organization in your own congressional district. Work hard. Help pick a candidate who can win, and then GOTV for that candidate. All Congressional races are local races. Grassroots activism works.

15. Women are 51% in midterms, 53% in general elections

That's the difference. I don't see how we can deny it or overcome it, minus a wave scenario like 2006. But you really don't want that because it requires a president of the other party.

Single women don't show up in midterms. That's our demographic problem.

I'm not confident at all toward 2014.
