Google/ Youtube now forcing new users to disclose their real names to the public

And current users may soon be forced to do the same when making comments. Right now they ask you each time you post a comment if you'd like to leave the comment under your "Real Name."

Right now, it's not an insurmountable challenge, as new users can simply lie about their names... but Youtube's shift is a problem for people who signed up years ago with the understanding that they would have a certain amount of privacy. This may pose problems for people who don't wish for their employers to know which videos they view and comment on in their personal lives.

Some smart guy will fill the niche with social media that touts privacy as a selling point.

My advice: Buy stock early.
