Republicans claim mandate to keep taxes the same.

The Rethugs need not impeach the President to destroy the country, and him. The Rethugs need not do anything but claim they were elected by their constituents to fight against high taxes. It has already begun, the Rethugs won't even consider raising taxes according to Mitch McConnell.

First, let me say it is the Wall Street Urinal. I know, a fucking RW Rethug talking piece. But I needed it to demonstrate a point I've been trying to make for a couple days. The Rethugs aren't going to deal. They're not. They're going to drive the country right over the Fiscal Cliff like Thelma and Louise with a foot hard on the gas. They'll let Sequestration go into effect if they don't get their way. How can we stop them? The House is set for the next two years with the Rethugs in control. With the Filibuster limit still in place in the Senate, McConnell and the minority have a gun held to our heads.

We are accustomed to the Rethugs gerrymandering the districts, but in the last redistrict of their states, they changed up on us. They gerrymandered, but not to get more Rethug seats, to keep their own majority in the house through 2020. How likely is it that we'll win big in 2014? Even if we do, that's two years with the sequestration rules in effect which will hurt the economy, and the programs we like along with those we don't.

We beat them on election night, but without taking the House, we've won a hollow victory. We can't force the changes that we voted for by re-electing President Obama through Congress like this. Even if we change the Filibuster rule, we can't get it through the House, the Rethugs gerrymandered districts that are just shy of totally safe RW Teabagger bastions.

They don't need to Impeach President Obama. All they need to do is obstruct like they have been for the last four years, and the economy will tank, unemployment is going to be rampant, and where will we be? We won't be online, because the Rethug Plutocrats will have us all unemployed if they can manage it. They've already started. Again, RW Washington Post link, but you see they're blaming "Obamacare" which the people just ratified by re-electing Obama. That is completely left out of the fucking story, but with another four years of the big lie, we're going to be fighting the uphill battle of our lives just to slow their planned destruction of our country.

My next prediction, look for the Rich to leave the country, and take up residence, and citizenship in tax haven countries like St. Kitts.

We need to stop thinking we've defeated the Rethugs for all time. We've only made them more determined to destroy the nation we dream of.

They are going to jack up unemployment by a two pronged attack. Their business masters are going to lay off and shut down as much as they can, even if they lose money in the short term. Then the Federal Government is going to be screwed and unable to do anything thanks to the Sequestration and Rethug obstruction.

They can relocate and take up citizenship in St. Kitts for a few hundred thousand. Then they make that back in spades by shifting their corporate headquarters to other nations as well. My point to all of this is we see them tell us the plan, but what are our options?

Who has the money right now except for the Rich wannabe Plutocrats? The Federal Government, which is held hostage by the Redistricted safe Tea bagger rethugs. Look at some of the companies that are laying off. It would take an investment of tens of millions to get a company up and running to even start the design process on some of those products. Especially medical products which for some reason are some of the companies laying folks off. Then you have FDA approval process, which takes years, and costs tens of millions. Sure we have some Democratic supporting Rich folks, but we obviously don't have nearly enough. The fucking Rethugs are trying to make their Atlas Shrugged meme come true.

Any time the Rethugs try to moderate, the base goes batshit crazy and at this time, it's called the Teabaggers. But they have enough power financed by the Mega Rich to control the Rethugnic party.

Don't worry, they will.......eventually. And if they, don't, well, most of them will eventually be out of a job over the next few years. I think some people gave them a pass for the last 2 years because they thought that they might be getting a new President and, possibly, new Senate. Now, that the election is over and we have divided government again, people will demand more progress and not be happy if they see that the Republicans are the ones not working together with President Obama.

14. But they claim they are the majority in the House
Sat Nov 10, 2012, 01:00 PM
Nov 2012

So they have a majority, one where they can stymie all our hopes. What happens over the next two years with the sequestration, and the plutocrats all firing employees? Unemployment goes up. Then it goes up again when those people can't afford to buy anything but the barest of necessities. How many news stories will the Rethug media have out there that all of this is Obama's fault? How many unemployed people shouting at the camera that this is Obama's fault before the lie takes root?

Somewhere I heard that once ten percent of the population believes something, it becomes true no matter how wrong it is. Then it becomes viral, and a majority soon believes it.

I think that is their plan, and they hope to capitalize on it in 2014. How much pain will they give us in the meantime?

17. Oh you forget the Rethug definition of Compromise
Sat Nov 10, 2012, 01:40 PM
Nov 2012

According to Mitch McConnell it means that the President has to Compromise.

"Let me put it very clearly," says the five-term Republican senator from Kentucky. "I am not willing to raise taxes to turn off the sequester. Period." On Jan. 1, Washington faces both a huge tax increase and an automatic spending cut known as the "sequester," which could tip the economy back into recession.

Then there is the business article I linked to at the RW Washington Times.

Here are the companies that have already said they're laying off.

Welch Allyn 275 layoffs
Dana Holding Corp. Unknown total, but a good portion of their 25,500 Worldwide
Stryker 1,170 positions at the last estimate.
Boston Scientific Between 1,200 and 1,400 positions eliminated
Medtronic 500 already eliminated, with another 500 slated for 2013

But that's not all.

Smith & Nephew - 770 layoffs
Abbott Labs - 700 layoffs
Covidien - 595 layoffs
Kinetic Concepts - 427 layoffs
St. Jude Medical - 300 layoffs
Hill Rom - 200 layoffs

Those are just the beginning. The movement will pick up. They are intentionally sabotaging the economy. Numerous other companies including Kroger Grocery stores are slashing hours of their employees to part time to avoid paying for the ACA.

They are going to drive over the fiscal cliff and laugh while destroying the nation. Nero Fiddled while Rome burned, the Rethugs are going to Giggle while destroying America.

Obama won in a landslide and that was despite all their efforts to lie. cheat and steal the election.

They need to be put in their place, and the corporate media too

They behave like immature whiny three year olds, lying after getting caught in the cookie jar.

They took it all and they want more more more, it's mine mine mine!

They need a time out.

They need to be put in the corner to think about what they have done.

We need to ignore their whining and do what is right for the country.

There is absolutely nothing we can do to make them happy.

They must be punished for their misbehavior, not catered to.

Tough love time.

In a previous answer, you said we need to ignore them and do what is right for the country. But the question is how? With Rethugs in control of the House, even if we toss the Filibuster rule in the Senate, we can't get shit through the house. No that isn't right. The Rethugs will be happy to give us shit. So what can we do? Accept that the House is Rethug, and surrender the very principals that got us elected, or just sit in gridlock for two years?

We've won, but they still have the ability to obstruct us at every turn. Bastards.

Instead of following every stupid story they put out there, we create our own stories, our own narrative, our own demands and spread them far and wide on the net.

Instead of following them, we make them follow us.

We rally John Stewart to help take our message to the masses.

Twitter and DU and others have already proven that we can get the truth out, despite their lies on the corporate news.

We have the power now.

Everything has changed and we need to let them know that.

But first we need to recognize it ourselves.

WE are the ones we have been waiting for.

they just want you believe there is. Democrats can simply let the tax rates expire...have legislation ready to institute the cuts they want and and dare the rethugs to vote against tax cuts. Messy? Yes but better than allowing the GOP to hold the nation hostage every time they don't get their way. The economy won't tank if the rates go up for a little bit....that's a freaking myth. And the date of the sequestration cuts can be moved back....
