Please correct me if my understanding is wrong. This could make a huge difference. If I understand correctly:
The tax cuts he wants to end are not "for those making over $250K per year."
The tax cuts he wants to end are for "income over $250K per year."
Income up to $250K would continue to get the tax cut. Income over $250K would no longer get the tax cut and would be taxed at a higher rate.

(1,096 posts)President Obama's tax break, will give a tax break for everyone's first $250,000 of income, any additional income will not get the tax break.

(14,881 posts)Whether you call it a tax break or a tax cut, I'm saying the 1st $250K of income gets the lower tax rate and all income over that is taxed at a higher rate (eg does not get the tax break or tax cut).
But your revision is better than mine because it doesn't talk about raising or resstoring tax rates, just not getting the tax cut or break.
And your improvement along with what I am suggesting...removing the tax cut only on income above a level...makes it clear that the wealthy still get the same tax cut that the rest of us get.
And furthermore, they still benefit more than most of us, since most of us make far less than $250K/year so don't get the full effect of the tax break.

Just as POTUS wanted everyone to vote early, to GOTV period, we must use the same tactics in messaging to POTUS.
