The GOP lives on non-sequiturs.
O'Reilly and the rest of the chorus are explaining in pejorative terms that the Democrats win by promising to "give things to people". Republicans on the other hand only promise to give tax breaks in return for votes.So, if I understand them this makes Liberals bad and Conservatives good. They are so insular that they cannot see the comedy in their words.
