If the Tea Party morons try impeachment...

I don't think it's likely at all, and that it will be quashed by enough Republicans to keep it from getting off the ground. However, if it did happen, it would fail, of course, probably before ever making it out of the House. Still, such an effort would show the Tea Party House members for the abject morons that they are. I believe it would ensure a Democratic House in 2014, with very many of those who pushed for impeachment simply losing their seats, many of them in primary races. In that sense, it might just advance the cause of reason. However, I don't think any such thing will occur.

That is why it is unlikely to go beyond some morons screaming for impeachment. There are enough sensible Republican House members to stop such a thing in its tracks, I'm quite sure. The Clinton impeachment wasn't so long ago that people have forgotten.

If I recall correctly, that is where the Clinton impeachment was derailed.

I agree with your assessment, if republicans in the House try impeachment, the effort will fail and destroy their party in two years. People that voted for republicans with some concerns will turn on them, giving democrats majorities in many districts.
