My thoughts regarding the various "restaurants" who plan to cut employee hours...

I'll admit it, I don't frequent any of these places. I would have to be very hungry to even consider biting into that ketchup laden concoction known as a Papa John's pizza.

But...for those of us that do enjoy dining at Applebees, and the Darden run restaurants, boycotting them will only put more people out of work. And, given the crappy wages they are paid, this will affect only those who need the money the most.

If they cut hours of existing employees, what's going to happen if the number of paying customers does not decrease?

Actually, I think their businesses will pick up a few new temporary customers, ala Chik-Fil-A. True blue Americans have to show their support, doncha know.

What's going to happen, in my opinion, is that they are going to have to hire even more part-time employees.

So, to me; an anti-boycott works better. Force them to spend the difference saved by not going along with Obama-care on new employee wages. Eat, enjoy, tip your server more than usual.

As Rachel likes to say; "Talk me down."

Before you know it Huckabee will be encouraging eat-ins at these places so it will make the news like Chik-fil-A did.

Boycott, boycott, boycott.
The servers will find a better way like the rest of us. Nasty HFCS laced food is bad for you any way.

really hard you would make it to middle class wet dream. I guess the owners and CEO's don't want people to succeed anymore. Their food is rehash trash and their business models are mediocre. I worked my ass off in restaurants most of my life and get a pat on the back for doing a good job for minimum wage, one week paid vacation if full time, a uniform and long hours without breaks. Yeah baby I living the American dream to poverty but luckily I work for someone now who really, really, really cares but she now has many cancers and the prognoses is very bad. (10 cancers in her lifetime, removed 1 last month and found 4 more then last week found 2 more). But we are still alive and that means something. I pity these maggots because everything they believe in is about to crash down around them.
