just one more tin-foil-hatty thought I had when pondering the weird Rove Rave...

I just remembered an odd post on TPM that Josh Marshall put up the day before the election....I used the Google machine and managed to find it. Pretty odd...

This Could Get Weird

JOSH MARSHALL NOVEMBER 5, 2012, 12:14 AM 16432
Listening to a story from a friend this evening. Guy in a social setting talking to a group of Wall Street heavyweights. Every single one in the room certain Romney wins. Has Ohio locked. Has the whole thing tied up. No doubt.

When I read it that early AM Nov 5, I was a bit creeped about either a mis-reading of the polls by Nate, Sam Wang et all...or something else funny going on behind the scene.

OK - I shared it...feeling better and will remove the hat!

3. You may want to keep that hat close-by

to re-use as needed, as there are bound to be a number of
difficult-to-explain wrinkles coming to light.. drip, drip.

For example, most people know that these e-voting machines
are easily corruptible, and how the GOP operative who was
subpoenaed to testify had an untimely suspicious death in a
plane crash, due to "equipment malfunctions"..

So I'm still suspecting that Rove & Co. BELIEVED that they
"had it locked up" in OH esp., and FL as well, by buggering
the e-voting. I further believe that SOMEthing or SOMEone
succeeded in intervening and "truing the vote" to reflect the
actual votes accurately for a change.

then .. Wallah!! Huge Democratic landslide!! "How'd that
happen again?" .. the GOP wants to know.

BTW - I posted an OP on one of my pet theories on this here:

It is the only rational explanation for Rove's meltdown.
Still it was freaking hilarious to watch Rove self destruct.

Your theory could explain why they can't finish counting Florida all now - they may be trying to untangle the mess.

They thought they would win because they trusted bad polling.

Crazy, I know!

5. Keep it on, and I'll don mine. Was it Ohio that was using that new patch on the voting machines?

At first I didn't give it much credence, but they were SO SURE Ohio was theirs. I think they just didn't count on the size of the turnout. That makes the win even that much more delicious.

but do you remember early on election day a man produced a video showing the vote flipping from Obama to Rmoney and it was all over cable TV???

That must have scared a lot of potential hacks.

I expect a lot of people to be charged for attempts to steal this election.

7. Wouldn't it be great if the Koch's and the rest got swindled? Someone or a few people

cut a deal guaranteeing to be able to rig the vote in maybe Ohio and Florida. Maybe even they were capable of pulling it off? They could have but just didn't dare. Hell, they already were paid a big chunk up front, why not just take the money and bail? So word was spread with out giving any details, "don't worry, we got this!"

Now WTF do they do? You can't sue them for not committing a crime they were paid for. Maybe someone turns up dead some day or disappears? We may never know. I may be onto a screen play here!

something other than bubble blindness or wishful thinking. Esp Karl Rove's weird behavior - like he wanted to scream "No don't call OHIO - I know something I can't say". Come on - these guys suffer from incredible amounts of hubris mixed with a good dose of incompetence but they aren't all that stupid. I think they had something going on behind the scenes that they thought would turn the vote their way. Maybe Obama won by a larger margin than they had been prepared to "fudge". I think that we came awful close to dodging another stolen election bullet. If so, then WHEW!!!

11. It was weird watching the video of it and he was quoting some mythical 911 number that
Sat Nov 10, 2012, 12:40 AM

did not reflect the numbers to the left of the screen. Obama was up by 20-30 thousand votes and he was saying that the number was down to 911 votes between them, but the numbers on the screen were different. Seemed pretty strange to me.

Other things they are "certain" about:

trickle-down economics
that corporations are people
gay couples are a "threat to marriage"
Jesus was a white guy
companies, given free reign, will regulate themselves
teachers are bad
CEO's are good

We could go on an on here, but you get the idea.

They are this delusional. Consistently and across the board.

These "Wall Street heavyweights" had access to the same unlimited data, perhaps more, than we had and they still were "certain" that Romney had it locked up. These are the same people who make decisions affecting hundreds of millions of dollars every hour and they still got this wrong. What does that say about their vocational prowess in the financial sector and the world economy?

18. I think we just saw a showdown between the Koch's and the BFEE...and I think Rove
Sat Nov 10, 2012, 09:24 AM

went to work for the wrong team.

Do you remember the photo of Poppy and Jeb in the Oval Office with President Obama? I didn't think they dropped in to admire the new curtains. I think the Super Wealthy...and I mean whoever owns the BFEE...is done with the new money Kochs.

There is no doubt in my mind that the machines in Ohio were unhacked---

Rove might have went to work for the Koch's because he was mad at the BFEE for some reason, and I think we saw him get his ass handed to him on national TV. I think the (conservative) leaders of the Mormon church were pretty well stunned too.
