I don't choose to be gay. I agree with pot, and other, drug legalization but it is very different from marriage equality.

But I digress. There is no choice to be made. It is not gay rights or the war on drugs. I support a progressive agenda that supports human rights across the board.

No Dem would assert there is a hierarchy of advocacy. Both are righteous causes. Advocating for one does not diminish advocating for the other.

we rank issues all the time. Health reform was more important than raising taxes on the rich for example. Yes we advocate for both things but it is absurd to argue that marriage equality is just like pot legalization.

She presented an ethical dilemma for idiots. As if, advocating for pot decriminalization somehow diminishes advocating for marriage equality.

Some have to due to illness. I don't mean to make light of your fight. I cannot believe we are voting on the civil right of gay marriage. You shouldn't have to vote on a civil right. But pot legalization isn't just about recreational use. It's also about sick people who need medicine.

38. Medical marijuana is also legal in WA

WA passed both recreational marijuana and same sex marriage. It is possible to support both at the same time although I must admit I was against this particular marijuana initiative. I support legalization but didn't think this initiative was the right one. CO has rejected legislation before when they didn't feel it was the right legislation. Anyway, there really is no need to pit one issue against the other.

But that she just wants to know the truth? I notice that when she was asked whether she was interested in investigating Bush during his presidency she never really answered the question.
