Neighborhood scum, backing up to a storm story.

I've been in a hospital for the last week, we were powerless behind the storm when I went in. Power had been down for a couple of days when I ventured out and found the cause to be a downed line about two miles from the house. A large red oak had fallen over the line and pulled about 200 yards of power line to the ground. The line paralleled the road and was laying across it in places, but the road was still passable.

After about two days some scummy bastard went down there, cut the lines and stole them for the copper. Had to be about $300 bucks worth of it. Think about that, this clown, obviously someone local, goes out into his own neighborhood while its out of power for days and his thieving ass goes out and steals the fucking wire before the repair crews can get there and put it back up. And what for? A couple of hundred bucks?

No matter how dangerous, they will try to steal anything to get quick cash for their fix.
