Why Garland appointed Smith to conduct investigations: a simple hypothesis

Garland knows that Smith will discover RICO co-defendants WITHIN THE FBI/DOJ. Garland estimated that he needed "bureaucratic distance" to avoid the perception of political partisanship.

(Not directed at you personally)

It's never RICO!

I mean, not literally never. But I can say with a very high level of confidence that if you're asking me, it's not RICO.

But it's an important case! And the facts are terrible! This defendant did really bad things.

That's not what RICO means. RICO is not a fucking frown emoji. It's not an exclamation point. It's not a rhetorical tool to convey you are upset about something. It's not a petulant foot-stomp.

RICO is a really complicated racketeering law that has elaborate requirements that are difficult to meet. It's overused by idiot plaintiff lawyers, and it's ludicrously overused by a hundred million jackasses on the internet with an opinion and a mood disorder.

Smith was appointed primarily because Trump declared his candidacy.

Special Counsels aren’t more aggressive or for more complex cases, they are appointed to avoid ethical and political conflicts.

I only have one question to ask, Garland wanted to show he wasn't being partisan to whom? If it was to Magats it didn't work, they still accused him and Smith of being partisan.

Isn't Garland's tenacity of showing he isn't partisan being partisan? Only members of one political party tried to overthrow our government.

or at least want to believe that Dems have overthrown the government. However ill informed, one has to consider the low or mis-informed voters

I live among Magats and I learned long ago to not argue, discuss, try to reason with them because they will never change and they will just drag you down in the gutter where they are experts.

No matter what Garland did those people will always believe that he is a $#@&^(&%&%%@^*( Democrat out to get Trump with a witch hunt.
